Throughout Colleen's 20 year career working in health care, she has spent the past 12 years educating diabetic patients on prevention, medication, problem solving and behavioral changes required in the management of diabetes. Helping patients set long-term goals and gain control of their disease is Colleen's passion.

Colleen received her B.S. in Nursing from Ball State and continued her education by achieving her M.S.N. at Loyola University and a Family Nurse Practioner Certificate from Northern Illinois University. Additionally, she recevied her Diabetic Educator Certification in 1992 and is a Certified Insulin Pump Trainer. She has experience working in diverse healthcare settings: family practice office, hospitals, home health and teaching nursing at community college level. Colleen maintains memberships with American Association of Diabetic Educators, American Diabetes Association and Illinois Society of Advanced Practical Nurses. Colleen and her family live in Geneva.
